Elsie discovered yoga in 2010 to manage stress during law school. By 2013, she became a certified instructor and, in 2015, founded Highland Yoga, transitioning from attorney to full-time teacher and studio owner. Elsie brings discipline and passion from her diverse experiences into her teaching and business.

    Kind Words

Our retreat week was truly transformative. I arrived not knowing anyone, yet immediately felt welcomed and at ease. As each day unfolded, I found a sense of clarity and peace I didn’t even know I was seeking. I left with a renewed sense of purpose—and a deep desire to carry forward what I experienced while on retreat.
    Susan Laney
What I’m taking away from this retreat is a deep sense of connection—connection to the stunning countryside, to the wonderful people I met here, and even to the people I love back home. Something about being in such a beautiful place, with such intention and presence, helped me feel more grounded and open.
    Ginger Zarse
A beautifully planned and executed trip that exceeded all expectations. The live music, the small thoughtful touches, and the way the group was brought together with the local community made the experience deeply special. Even with a higher price point than usual, it felt like an extraordinary value. A truly memorable and meaningful journey.
    Kerri Loudes
Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and the effort behind it all was clear. One of the best trips ever—an opportunity to pause, reset, and savor yoga, scenery, food, wine, and a warm, welcoming community.
    Julie Farmer
Absolutely spectacular. It’s hard to imagine traveling again without this kind of care and curation. Every moment was thoughtful, joyful, and effortless.
    Becky Stewart
It’s rare to see something come together with such kindness, grace, and inspiration. Every detail felt intentional, and the energy was uplifting from start to finish. Communication was flawless, and the value far exceeded expectations—it honestly felt underpriced for the quality of the experience. A truly exceptional trip in every way.
    Allyson Watkins
One of the best vacations ever. What made it truly exceptional was the incredible group—an inspiring mix of familiar faces and new friends. The food, wine, lodging, and scenery were all amazing, but what elevated the experience was the thoughtful leadership at the heart of it all.
    Ron Farmer
My favorite thing about an LDW yoga class is that not only is it a kick ass workout, but also there’s amazing music, and best of all a soul filled message. Long after I leave class I can hear Lindsay’s words in my mind!
    Sam Schoenbaum
Each early Tuesday morning that I enter into the sanctuary of Lindsay’s class before 6 AM, I am always greeted with her unconditional warmth. It is a bright smile, a kind inquiry, and an invitation to just be. My Tuesday ritual is something I cherish very deeply and guard fiercely because it is very important and special to me. I consider it a cornerstone of my sanity. But it is so much more than just about the practice of yoga. It is something unique that Lindsay brings into the sacred space. There is a calm knowing that Lindsay brings, and you will feel seen. It is as if she knows exactly what you need, and she serves it to you in the most personal way that you are able to feel truly touched by her energy. Lindsay is the ignition - the connector, and she brings everyone together to connect with a frequency that is healing, rejuvenating, and cleansing. It will always keep me coming back.
    Melissa Baldwin
I began practicing yoga in 2012 to dedicate time to myself and to find balance with a demanding career and family obligations. Lindsay has been instrumental to my yoga journey from the day I met her 10 years ago to the teacher training course I completed recently. Her positivity, encouragement, and empathy is present in every class, which I leave better grounded each time. But what I value most is the community she has built and the true friendships she facilitated among her students. She has enriched my life in countless ways.
    Olga Greenberg
“Practicing yoga with Lindsay as a teacher is a genuine immersion. An immersion of trust, letting go and being guided soulfully through the healthy process of worthy struggle and purification. Her sequences are creative, challenging; and her voice, her words, add a level of depth that I have experienced with few others. A true soulful experience...and you always feel seen.”
    John Portman IV
"Lindsay is an exceptional teacher; one you will seek out again and again. She blends her flows with creativity and challenge, making her classes distinct and elite. Lindsay fosters a safe and empowering practice, leaving your mind, body and spirit refreshed and nourished. Because of the warmth and welcoming nature of the environment she creates, I have aligned with some of my closest friends at a later stage in life. Lindsay’s nurturing, authentic positive energy is truly an indelible gift to the soul."
