The Circle of Restoration: Why We Give
the more we give, the more we truly have.
There is a profound rhythm to the way energy moves through our lives. In my own journey, I’ve learned that for a life to feel truly "full," there must be a balance between what we receive and what we pour back out into the world. It is the natural exhale after a deep, nourishing breath. As we move into May—a month of full blooms and outward energy—I want to share how we are weaving the spirit of service into the very fabric of our travels.
For us, Travel That Gives Back isn’t an afterthought; it is a core pillar of how we define luxury. True abundance is only meaningful when it is shared, and we believe that wellness should never be an exclusive gated community—it should be a bridge. This philosophy is at the heart of our commitment to donate 1% of all retreat bookings to charitable causes that align with our mission of empowerment, access, and wellness for all. We also partner with select organizations to offer retreat spots to individuals who serve their communities and deserve deep restoration, ensuring that those who give the most are given the space to refuel.
This spirit of gratitude and partnership is exactly what I’m carrying with me as I head to Italy this season. LDW is deeply honored to partner with Himalayan Children’s Charities (HCC) for an invite-only, exclusively curated retreat in the heart of Tuscany. This journey was designed as a gesture of gratitude for HCC’s closest supporters and top donors—the people who make life-changing work possible.
We will be settling into the rolling hills of Chianti, where the itinerary is an invitation to slow down and reconnect at an unhurried pace. From private wine tastings and hands-on cooking experiences to eBike rides through vineyard-lined roads and candlelit dinners under the stars, every moment is a celebration of the community we build when we give. Between our curated days in Florence and rooftop aperitivos, we are leaving intentional space to linger over long meals and meaningful conversation.
When we travel with purpose, we aren't just investing in our own nervous systems; we are participating in a larger circle of care. Whether we are supporting the vital work of HCC in Tuscany or providing a "space between the plans" for a community hero, we are proving that the more we give, the more we truly have.
