OUR HOTEL
FOR THE WEEK

We’re thrilled to host our 2026 Mallorca retreat at La Residencia, a Belmond Hotel—a five-star haven perched between the sea and mountains in the storybook village of Deià. Once beloved by Princess Diana, this iconic property is known for its deep connection to the arts, lush terraced gardens, and panoramic views of the Tramuntana range. With art-filled suites featuring private terraces, a world-class spa tucked among olive trees, and three exquisite restaurants offering Michelin-level dining, La Residencia blends historic charm with barefoot luxury. Guests enjoy a serene fitness pavilion, tennis courts, and easy access to Deià’s vibrant cultural scene—all just steps away, yet blissfully secluded.

    Coastal Trails & Hidden Picnic

Wake to the golden light of Mallorca and begin your day with a grounding yoga practice overlooking the Mediterranean, the Tramuntana mountains at your back. After breakfast, we’ll embark on a breathtaking guided hike along the Cami de Pintors, an iconic cliffside trail once walked by poets and painters. Our hike ends in a secluded location where a traditional Mallorcan picnic awaits—exclusive, authentic, and unforgettable. Seas the Day

Begin the morning with your choice of energizing yoga, a HIIT class, or both, followed by a leisurely breakfast on property. After breakfast, we’ll head out for a spectacular coastal boat excursion (subject to a 17 person attendance), sailing along Mallorca’s dramatic shoreline with time to swim, soak in the views, and enjoy a relaxed onboard spread as the day unfolds on the water.

The evening is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Wander the charming village of Deià for dinner, or have the Belmond arrange a transfer to a nearby village for a memorable night out.

Here’s a lovely restaurant guide with some great restaurant recommendations. My personal favorite is Balm in Deià—it’s just a short walk from the hotel.

We’ll begin the day with an energizing morning yoga practice. Afterward, the morning is yours to enjoy — it’s market day in the village, so feel free to wander the stalls, go for a hike, visit the spa, or venture over to the adorable village of Sollier and Port Sollier.

In the afternoon, you’re invited to an optional vagus nerve toning session led by Libby, a wonderful local therapist from Deià.

In the evening, we’ll come together for dinner at the acclaimed Sebastian restaurant, just a short walk from the hotel.

Meet Your Host

After 15 years in corporate leadership—while teaching yoga, coaching speakers, and building community-rooted nonprofits—I felt called to bring it all together. That’s how LDW Coaching & Retreats began.

These retreats are thoughtfully designed to offer more than just a beautiful escape—they’re a return to what matters most. Rooted in presence, beauty, and connection, they create space for rest, growth, and meaningful community.

Whether we’re flowing on a yoga mat, sharing a meal, or watching the sun set over the Mediterranean, my hope is simple: that you leave feeling more grounded, more connected, and more yourself.

THE FAQS

  • The EU is introducing a new travel authorization system called ETIAS for visa-free travelers (including U.S. citizens). ETIAS is not yet in operation but is expected to begin in late 2026, and the EU will announce the exact start date in advance. I will set a reminder to check for updates on July 1st and will share anything new with the group, but I also recommend setting your own reminder, as this trip may fall around the time the requirement goes into effect.

If ETIAS is required at the time of our trip, apply only through the official EU site:
     https://travel-europe.europa.eu/en/etias

What to expect if ETIAS is required:

    • Short online application

    • Have your passport, email, and payment card ready

    • Answer a few travel/security questions

    • Receive approval by email

As always, please check official government sites for the most current travel requirements before your trip.

  • Extended Stays at La Residencia

If you’re visiting this section for the first time, unfortunately the window to reserve an extended stay room at our group-discounted rate has passed. The deadline to book at those rates was November 15, and two reminder emails were sent ahead of that date.

That said, the team at La Residencia is more than happy to accommodate early arrivals or late departures at the best available rate they can extend at the time of booking. Availability is limited, and the hotel is filling quickly — the closer we get to the retreat dates, the higher nightly rates tend to be — so the sooner you reach out, the better.

How to request an early arrival or late stay:

    • Email inma.martin@belmond.com directly

    • Reference “LDW Retreat” in your message

    • Specify the room type you originally booked for the retreat (Superior, Deluxe, Grand Deluxe, or Executive Suite), as internal room names differ slightly

If you’re not sure which room category you booked, feel free to email or text me anytime and I’m happy to remind you 🙂.

If you’re considering extending your time in Mallorca, I strongly recommend reaching out to the hotel as soon as possible.

  • All guests should fly into Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI), the island’s main international airport. From there, La Residencia, a Belmond Hotel, is approximately 40–45 minutes by car.

The hotel is happy to arrange private transfers upon request, or you can easily call a local taxi or request an Uber upon arrival. Once on the road, enjoy a scenic drive through Mallorca’s countryside as you make your way to the enchanting village of Deià.

Contact concierge.lrs@belmond.com to make your reservation.

  • In the last week of September, Mallorca experiences warm and pleasant weather, ideal for beach outings and outdoor activities. Daytime highs typically range from 78°F to 80°F (25°C to 27°C), while nighttime lows are around 60°F to 62°F (16°C to 17°C). The sea remains inviting, with temperatures averaging 75°F (24°C), making it comfortable for swimming. Rainfall is minimal, with occasional light showers, and the island enjoys approximately 8 hours of sunshine per day. Humidity levels are moderate, contributing to the overall comfort during this period.

  • Pack with ease and intention. You’ll want comfortable layers for yoga and movement, activewear for hikes and excursions, a swimsuit and cover-up for the boat day, and relaxed-yet-elevated outfits for evenings out. Think breathable fabrics by day and effortless elegance by night. A light jacket or wrap is recommended for cooler mountain evenings, and comfortable walking shoes are a must. Don’t forget your essentials—sun protection, a good book, and anything that helps you feel grounded and at ease.

  • We’ve put together a curated list of lovely restaurant options for your free evening. My personal favorite is Balm in Deià—it’s just a short walk from the hotel, but it’s very small, so I highly recommend making reservations in advance.

This attached guide includes recommendations by location, along with a few Michelin-star options if you’d like to plan a special night out.

As a reminder, we’ll be dining together at Sebastian on Wednesday and El Olivo on Thursday, so there’s no need to book those two.

If you’d like help securing reservations, the La Residencia team is wonderful—just email francesco.trevisan@belmond.com and mention you’re part of the LDW Luxury Wellness Retreat.

  • La Residencia has a beautiful spa with a pool, hot tub, steam room, and sauna—I highly recommend carving out time to enjoy it, especially on your free day or during one of our afternoon breaks.

To book treatments in advance, simply email pep.ferreiro@belmond.com or francesco.trevisan@belmond.com, and mention you’re part of the LDW retreat.

  • Your 50% deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Thank you in advance for understanding this firm policy—space on this retreat is very limited and the experience has been designed to be nearly all-inclusive, with the hotel and all excursions privately reserved and paid for well in advance.

Final payment is due by June 29, 2026. Cancellations after June 29,2026  will be non-refundable in full.

  • Any and all  dietary restrictions can be accommodated on this trip as we will be working closely with the Chef  to curate a menu special to our group. Please just let us know of any special requests you may have. Similarly, all outings where meals are being provided can accommodate special dietary requests. Simply reach out to Lindsay, your host and she will work with the teams to make your gastronomy dreams come true!

  • Europe as a whole is not a huge tipping culture, but our guides work closely with Americans and have become accustomed to receiving tips. If you feel so inclined, please plan for tipping your drivers, bellman, and wait staff while off property.

  • For the comfort and peace of mind of all guests, travel insurance is required to attend this retreat. Your policy should include coverage for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and travel delays. Life is unpredictable, and having travel insurance helps protect your investment should unforeseen circumstances arise. We highly recommend purchasing your policy at the time of booking to ensure full coverage.
