Luxury Wellness & Culture Retreat in

PORTUGAL

A historic building with stone and yellow stucco walls, lush trees, and landscaped gardens in a countryside setting.

Tucked into the sun-drenched hills of Chianti, this luxury wellness & culture retreat unfolds at a breathtaking estate surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.

Start your days with nature and movement, then dive into Tuscany's flavors with wine tastings, cooking classes, e-bike rides, and scenic hikes. Evenings bring chef-prepared dinners, cocktails under the stars, live music, and movies in the open air — each night a little more magical than the last.

AWAKEN & INDULGE RETREAT

A backyard with a swimming pool, lounge chairs, white umbrellas, and lush greenery.

Our home for the week is a 5-star wellness retreat on a 50-hectare estate in the rolling hills of Chianti — halfway between Florence and Siena, surrounded by working vineyards and olive groves. Mornings open with yoga in an outdoor tent among the olive trees; afternoons unfold around an infinity pool with sweeping views over the Tuscan hills.

The spa is a destination in itself — Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, multi-sensory shower, and treatment rooms built for slow, intentional rest. Rooms are quietly elegant: natural materials, heated floors, beautiful linens, hill views from every window. The estate feels less like a hotel and more like a private retreat — intimate, unhurried, designed for guests who value beauty, wellness, and presence.

    DAY 2

    Wine & Dine

A full day among the vineyards of Chianti. We'll visit two of the region's most beautiful wineries, linger over a vineyard lunch with paired wines, and offer an optional third tasting for anyone who wants to stay longer. Medici-era charm and sweeping views all day. The evening winds down with a pizza movie night under the stars.

    Day 3

    Italian Kitchen & Afternoon Leisure

A day that balances learning and leisure. Morning yoga and breakfast, then a hands-on Italian cooking class in the on-site kitchens, capped with a light lunch on the terrace. The afternoon is yours — pool, spa, hiking, e-biking, or a village run with a driver. In the evening, we head off-property to a beloved local spot that captures the warmth and community of Tuscany.

    DAY 4

    History, Heights & Homecoming BBQ

A full day in Florence — for art, history, and inspired wandering. The morning offers your choice: a guided city walk, a guided Uffizi visit, an outdoor tour with a stop at the Cappelle Medicee, or independent exploration. Group lunch is reserved, or wander to a café of your own choosing. In the afternoon, we reunite for a private tour of the Torrigiani Gardens, led by Tommaso Torrigiani himself — a hidden green oasis in the heart of the city — followed by rooftop happy hour at the iconic Villa Cora. Back at the property: a relaxed BBQ and a movie under the stars.

    DAY 5

Dolce Far Niente: The Sweet Art of Doing Nothing

A day to do absolutely nothing — or anything you want. After yoga and a slow breakfast, hike straight from the property, lounge by the pool, book a spa treatment, or hire a driver to a nearby hilltop village. In the evening, a gorgeous dinner at a scenic spot in the hills.

    DAY 6

Finale in the Hills: Ride, Reflect & Raise a Glass

Our final full day. Morning yoga and breakfast, then a scenic eBike ride through Chianti — easy or moderate route — ending with lunch in a hilltop village. After 15 years in corporate leadership — while teaching yoga, coaching speakers, and building community-rooted nonprofits — I felt called to bring it all together. That's how LDW Coaching & Retreats began.

These retreats are thoughtfully designed to offer more than just a beautiful escape. They're a return to what matters most — rooted in presence, beauty, and connection, and built to create space for rest, growth, and meaningful community.

Whether we're flowing on a yoga mat, sharing a meal, or watching the sun set over the Mediterranean, my hope is simple: that you leave feeling more grounded, more connected, and more yourself.

THE FAQS

  • Aim to arrive at the hotel between 2:00 and 4:00 pm to settle in and refresh before our welcome reception. While airport transfers aren't included, we partner with a trusted logistics company offering competitive rates — they'll happily coordinate directly with you for both arrival and departure.

    Recommended airports:

    • Florence-Peretola International Airport (FLR) — the fastest route, about 1 hour by car

    • Rome-Fiumicino International Airport (FCO) — about 3 hours by car, often the easiest international connection

  • Late June in Chianti: warm, sunny days (highs around 82°F / 28°C) and cool evenings (lows around 58°F / 14°C). Expect long days of sunshine and very little rain — pack a light layer for evenings and you're set.

  • Yoga and active outdoor clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a light layer for cooler evenings, and casual clothes for dinners out. Leave a little space in your suitcase — you'll want room for finds from the Tuscan markets. Yoga mats are provided on property; no need to bring your own.

  • Your 50% deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable. If you need to cancel for any reason (and forgo your deposit), the cancellation deadline is March 22, 2027 (90 days before the retreat). Cancellations after that date are non-refundable. We've designed this retreat to be almost entirely all-inclusive — privatizing the property, securing all outings well in advance — and our cancellation policy reflects the limited space available and the long lead time required to deliver an experience of this caliber.

  • Any and all dietary restrictions can be accommodated on this trip. We work closely with the property's chef to curate a menu special to our group — please just let us know what you need ahead of time. The same goes for outings where meals are provided. Reach out to Lindsay, your host, and she'll work with the team to make your gastronomy dreams come true.

  • Europe as a whole is not a heavy tipping culture, but our local guides work with American travelers and have come to appreciate tips. If you feel inclined, plan to tip your drivers, bellman, and wait staff while off-property.

  • We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for international trips. It can protect your investment in case of unexpected events such as flight delays, lost luggage, or medical emergencies abroad. Travel with peace of mind, knowing you're covered. If you are looking for an agent who sells travel insurance, I can recommend: Sharon Creasy with Elevation Travel. Her email is: sharon@elevtionstvl.com and her number is: 404-626-4997.
